Maddie Ziegler on turning 16 and smashing career goals

The dancer just landed a big new campaign.

As one of those rare children who grow up almost entirely in the spotlight, it’s impressive that Maddie Ziegler has made it to where she is today unscathed. Loved by her fans and the public alike, Ziegler has turned her cute girl image into one of a seriously impressive role model, and is now fast becoming fashion’s favourite muse. Recently announced as the face of Tiffany and Co.’s Paper Flowerscampaign alongside Elle Fanning and Asap Ferg, Ziegler has been able to celebrate the advent of her 16th birthday (which falls later this month on September 30) with the release of the collection.

“It’s hard being so young and being in the public eye because kids can so easily fall into the habit of letting fame get to their heads. I’ve always tried my hardest to be the best and most humble version of myself. I would say my friends really keep me grounded and without them I wouldn’t be the same!” she told Vogue ahead of the collection launch, which sees some of the brand’s most-loved styles reimagined for the everyday. Discussing her favourite Tiffany and Co. piece, Ziegler is quick to confirm she’s a fan of the Paper Flowers necklace, ”because it’s so beautiful and dainty and it’s a great layering piece you can wear every day!”
